SUMMARY While Jerry is out of town, his apartment gets robbed after Kramer leaves the door open. This makes Jerry want to move. George finds him a great apartment, then realizes he also wants it. Whoever gets it, Elaine wants his old apartment. Of course, neither gets the new place.

FOR FUTURE REFERENCE Jerry tells Elaine to use the bathtub if she wants to have sex while apartment-sitting. In episode 151, "The English Patient," Elaine comments that sex in a bathtub doesn't work.

Elaine is interested in the deceased relative's apartment. George wonders if he'll ever be able to have sex again.

SUMMARY Jerry finds a statue in a box left him by his grandfather. George wants to give it to his parents to replace a similar one he broke as a child. The statue turns up missing after Jerry has his apartment cleaned by the boyfriend of an author Elaine is working with. Later, Elaine and Jerry see the statue at the author's apartment. Elaine is torn between risking her chance to work as an editor and helping George, whose parents are now expecting the statue.

12. "The Revenge" (April 18, 1991)

SUMMARY George quits his job in a snit after being demoted to the regular bathroom instead of the private executive "lounge." When the boss won't take him back, George hatches a plan to slip the guy a mickey. Kramer pours a bag of concrete into the washing machine of Jerry's laundryman after $1,500 he had stashed in his laundry bag turns up missing.

FOR FUTURE REFERENCE While mulling over possible career opportunities, George mentions he might get a job working for a sports team; in a later episode, he will be hired by the Yankees.

OF SPECIAL NOTE For the syndicated rerun, Wayne Knight supplies the voice of the never-seen Newman, but when the episode was originally aired, the voice was Larry David's. Also, Newman is said to be unemployed, but in his next episode, he's working at the post office.

When Jerry can't go to a movie, George and Elaine go alone and find they have nothing to talk about except Jerry. Kramer tries to break up with his girlfriend.

22. "The Library" (October 16, 1991)

SUMMARY A librarian calls and asks Jerry about a book, Tropic of Capricorn, he checked out in 1971 and never returned. Jerry remembers he gave it to George. George blames not returning the book on his former high school gym teacher. Kramer has his eye on a librarian. Elaine's boss hates her recommendations.

BLOOPER Marion mentions that Mr. Bookman has been working at the library for twenty-five years. Later it's revealed that he started the job in 1971, which would mean he'd been working there twenty years, not twenty-five.

OF SPECIAL NOTE In this episode, Mr. Lippman is played by Harris Shore. In future episodes, Richard Fancy takes over.

Kramer gives Susan's parents a ride in a friend's horse-drawn carriage--after feeding the horse Beef-A-Reeno, which causes the horse to be extremely flatulent. Jerry mugs an old lady for her loaf of marble rye. After finally doing "everything," the saxophonist can't play his instrument any more.

Kramer goes to the book signing, claiming he is the real Peterman. Elaine goes into business selling just the tops of muffins. George pretends he is a tourist to get a girl. Jerry takes shaving a bit too far and ends up shaving his entire chest.

George tries to make a movie audience laugh but is upstaged, and stalked, by a laser pointer. Kramer infuriates the Puerto Rican community when he accidentally sets their flag on fire.

SUMMARY Jerry, George, Kramer, and Elaine go on trial for breaking the new Good Samaritan law when they fail to help an obese man who was being robbed. During the trial, a succession of character witnesses recounts the groups' less-than-charitable acts of the past. The trial is presided over by Judge Art Vandelay, who gives them a sentence of one year behind bars. Jerry closes the series with a prison-themed monologue.
