Episode 14: The Movie

Episode #54; 4:14

Our Summary

The gang tries to see a movie, but due to Jerry missing a pair of sets, meeting up with Buckles, George not asking properly which line is the ticket holders/buyers lines, Kramer's love of Papaya King hot dogs, George not being able to get past the ticket usher and his and LD's obsession with Rochelle, Rochelle, as well as other mitigating circumstances, no one gets to see the movie, except the K-Man, who sat in Elaine's seat and got mustard on her jacket.

Our Commentary

Beautiful OCB and a nice CCB enclose this beautiful ep. Two major themes that run throughout this episode make it simply hilarious. The first is that of the descriptions of the 4 main Seinfeld characters, from flaring nostrils, to face like a frying pan, to bird shaped face, to humpty dumpty, to horse face, the laughs keep on rolling in. The second theme is that of a GRANDIOSE NATURE, which is Larry David's multi-talented voice capabilities. From his various lines in Rochelle, Rochelle and Checkmate to his lines as theatre goers, he constantly has us falling down with laughter. Finally Buckles does a beautiful job before becoming a mental patient with his need for Jerry to take his trenchcoat for a few months and the ticket cutter/Chinese guy at Roosevelt Field before he became a captain and his arguments with George but friendliness with Kramer. We also get our first Rochelle, Rochelle obsession that Larry David concerns himself with. Adam - Hilarious, just stimply beautiful. I laughed till I cried, I've seen it over nine times now and each time it gets better and better, Daddy! The Movie now and forever on the Seinfeld DVD.
