Episode 21: The Fusilli Jerry

Episode #107; 6:21

Our Summary

Elaine is dating David Puddy, who shows up for the first time, who's Jerry's mechanic. He uses Jerry's sexual "move" on Elaine, and tells Jerry, who tells Puddy to stop, or if he needs to do it, to do it out of town, so Puddy tells him to take his car out of town the next time it needs work, which is right after he leaves. He has Elaine find out what Puddy would charge to fix the car and finds out that the new place he's using is screwing him, so he brings the car to Puddy, saves money, and allows Puddy to use the move. George tries to do Jerry's move, but can't remember the order of the steps, so he writes it down and gets caught and dumped. Kramer gets someone else's vanity plates that read Assman, and drives home Estelle from her eyejob and stops short and puts out his hand. This was Frank's move, so he goes to yell at Kramer. Meanwhile, Kramer has been making pasta versions of his pals, starting with Fusilli Jerry, which Frank falls down on and must go to the proctologist, who also it turns out, was the one that got Kramer's plates.

Our Commentary

This beauty of an ep gives us our first glimpse at that mammoth of a man, David "Burl the Bear" Puddy. Although he has some quasi-burly moments while in bed with Elaine at the beginning of the ep, he doesn't achieve burly status, and actually goes the other way, especially while at the car repair place, where he is just a little boy. I never can understand how Brad Hall was able to have Elaine be in bed, super sexually, definitely the most sexual part in any Seinfeld ep, when Elaine and Puddy are kissing super sexually, when she tries to find out how much Jerry's car repair would cost. Anyway, hilarious stuff with "The Move", from Jerry to George and Puddy, as well as Frank's. Beautiful stuff with Million to 1 shot Doc, Million to 1. Hilarious stuff with Kramer making Fusilli Jerry and Ravioli George. One of the funniest lines ever is from George about Estelle being "out there". Great stuff with George needing a piece of Jerry's chocolate bar, George's pleasuring you, Elaine's making fun of George about his move, in that she's not suprised, and George's gal catching George for cheating on "The Move". Overall, a beauty of an episode, worthy of the Top 50. Adam - Very funny episode, worthy of Top 50 status. No 6:19 The Jimmy, but still a great episode nonethless.
