Episode 13: The Comeback

Episode #147; 8:13

Our Summary

George is dissed out, so he tries to dis him back during their next encounter with "Jerkstore" as his line of lines. Kramer watches a movie about a woman in a coma, involving a huge error, see below, and decides that he wants his plug pulled, so he has Elaine help him out with Big Ben Stein. Finally, Milos, the tennis pro, tells Jerry to buy a racket under the guise that he is a tennis pro, but when Jerry finds out that he is horrible at tennis, Milos dabbles in the flesh trade by giving his wife as some sort of sexual sacrifice. Also, Elaine falls for a teenager who shares her love of long drainining movies.

Our Commentary

This episode is an anomoly in Season Eight because as Frank Costanza would say, IT SUCKS! The ep is simply way too slow. There is not enough going on in this ep and each character is so nothing. They didn't even get Andy Ackerman to direct it, or maybe he refused to direct it after reading the script. The strange thing is, Gregg Kavet and Andy Robin, both separately and together, have brought us many hilarious eps. Anyway, this ep does have one of the most oft-quoted lines in the House that Somer built with "an hilarious premise". Milos (pronounced Milosh) is pretty funny, as is George's obsession with the greatness of the line of Jerkstore, however, that is about it. Overall, the entire ep was a real disappointment that belongs in Season One or Season Two, but definitely not Season Eight. Adam - Shoddy material. A couple of funny lines, but most of it very very slow. Disappointing, very disappointing for a Season Eight episode.
