Episode 12: The Reverse Peephole

Episode #168; 9:12

Our Summary

Jerry, George, Elaine, and lichora, or at first glance, Kramer, go to Joe Mayo's party and they are put to work as usual. Elaine is in charge of the coats and she takes Puddy's new "man-fur" coat and throws it out the window. It turns out that she threw out Joe Mayo's coat instead, who had the same coat as Puddy. Jerry meets a gal at the party, but nothing really happens with her, but Jerry does decide to chuck his wallet in favor of a "European Carry-All", sort of a man's purse. George insists on keeping his wallet fat and juicy, even though it's killing his back. The massage chair that they all bought comes accidentally to George's apartment and he keeps it for his bad back, lying to Jerry that it hasn't come yet. When everyone bails on the gift, George comes clean and can't end up returning it b/c he loses the receipt while trying to close his monster size wallet. Finally, Kramer and Newman decide to reverse their peepholes in order to see if someone is inside their apartment waiting to ambush them with a sock full of pennies. Meanwhile, Newman is having an affair with Silvio's, the super of the building, wife. (not sure where to place that apostrophe, b/c it's Silvio's wife, not the building's wife, but now it sounds strange, but whatever) Trouble begins to brew involving pretty much everyone in the episode b/c of it. You'll just have to watch it or read the script in order to know what happens.

Our Commentary

This hilarious Top 50 episode is packed with laughs. We start it off with Lauren Bowles and we end it with Puddy's 8 ball. It's just hilarious all around. Hilarious stuff with Silvio's want me, love me, shower me with kisses, and Jerry and Kramer's look that he's nuts, Jerry hitting Elaine, saying he's a fancy boy, the sock full of pennies, Newman's soliloquy, Joe Mayo himself, as well as his awesome party, Joe Mayo's name sounding made up, Kramer trying to hide from Silvio in his apartment, when he knows that he can see him, acting all angry that he's there, and then, when he opens the door, pretends that he's happy to see him, George's huge wallet, the oft quoted "Wallet" by Newman, and a burly bear by Puddy locks this episode into the Top 50. Adam - This Top 50 Addition was well worthy of the Top 50. Silvio, sock full of pennies, Joe Mayo, ringtailed lemur, and shower me with kisses. What do all of these things have in common? They breed perfection. And perfection they achieve.
