George tries being serious about his job and tries to get a non-pretty secretary, so he won't be tempted to have an affair with her. This of course backfires, and he has sex with the secretary, and screams out that he's going to give her a raise, which is given to her by Steinbrenner, so that she earns more than he does. Jerry catches his dry cleaner wearing his jacket to a movie. Kramer meanwhile meets Uma Thurman at the theater and writes her phone number down on Jerry's clothing ticket for his mom's fur coat. Jerry demands that the cleaner give the fur coat back, but his wife has it, so he tells Jerry that he needs the ticket. So, Jerry has to find Kramer b/c he has the ticket. Meanwhile, Kramer, Elaine, and Bania have gone to Barney's. Elaine is there to try on another dress, b/c the store has skinny mirrors. Kramer came to buy hand lotion and puts some in his pocket. Bania ends up buying the suit that Kramer is wearing. Jerry finds Kramer, but needs to get the ticket from Bania, who wants to sell the suit back to Kramer b/c the lotion splattered in the suit, causing Uma's number to be illegible, not before Bania copied it down for himself. So, in order to get the ticket, Jerry must go take Bania out to 2 dinners.
Our Commentary
Great OCB and hilarious CCB enclose this beauty of an ep. George's explanations to the incredibly hot women who are trying out for the job of George's secretary are hilarious, as is "I'm giving you a raise". Bania is hilarious as ever in his second outing and Kramer is great with his salesman shtick to Bania. Finally, Kramer in the woman's dressing room with Jerry and Elaine, both separately and together, is hilarious and perfectly done. On a side note, strangely, this episode was directed by someone else and I think this was his only directorial spot on Seinfeld (But after checking, he actually also directed 8:13 The Comeback). Odd. Overall, excellent episode. Adam - Good episode. Nothing more, nothing less.
