George decides that the Yankees should where cotton instead of polyester, which initially is a good idea, but later turns out to be a bust. Jerry meets Miss Rhode Island at a Yankees game and asks her out, but she needs a chaperone to accompany them, so Jerry brings Kramer along, which is a big mistake. Kramer becomes her coach, ruining Jerry's date with her. Jerry and George go to Atlantic City where Jerry is doing a set, while Kramer is there with Miss Rhode Island, trying to win Miss America. Jerry throws some water over their balcony to quiet birds that are making noise, which kills the birds, which were Miss RI's talent, so she must sing, and loses horribly. Elaine gets rejected in an interview at Doubleday, but ends up getting hired by Mr. Pitt, who is reminded of Jackie O' when he sees Elaine. Elaine can't come to Atlantic City b/c she must get him socks.
Our Commentary
Hilarious OCB and nice CCB enclose this nice episode. Great Yankees stuff with Danny Baseball and Bucky Baseball. Beautiful continuing obsession with materials and great Kramer stuff going against Jerry who's supposedly trying to stop Miss R.I. from going to the top. Excellent stuff with Grace and an excellent first Mr. Pitt, first "Hi Mr. Pitt!" from Jerry, Elaine saying Jerry, all gufawed (is that a word), and Elaine saying she can't go b/c Mr. Pitt needs his socks. Beautiful cut off cursing and Poise, Poise, Poise. Overall, a nice episode. Adam - It was just aight for me dogg. I wasn't feeling it. To tell you the truth, a disappointing episode to start off the sixth season. Let's hope it doesn't happen again.
