The mango is a fruit which enables men, like George and Jerry, to stop them from being impotent. Meanwhile, Jerry is pissed off that Elaine never had an orgasm with him, Kramer is banned from the fruit store, so he sends Jerry in to get some, who is also banned.
Our Commentary
We start off Season 5 with a Top 50 episode. Beautiful OCB and CCB enclose this wonderful ep. From the initial talking at Monk's about orgasms and faking thereof to the ending scene of sex to save the friendship with a mango saving Jerry's impotence and friendship with Lainey, there are laughs for all. Beautiful stuff with Kramer getting banned, George and his impotence, and our first Renee, who scatters herself throughout Season 5, but even more beautiful is Jerry and Kramer talking about the fruit and Jerry inside Joe's getting said fruit. Red on the inside and soft, but not too soft just crack me up every time I'm in Waldbaums. Overall, an excellent episode that justly starts off this wicked awesome season. Adam - Funny stuff. Obviously it's funny, cuz it's on my Top 50. Really the Top 50 would not be the same without The Mango. It's high up on the Top 50, but not too high.
