Episode 17: The Kiss Hello

Episode #103; 6:17

Our Summary

Elaine's friend, Wendy, kisses Jerry hello each time they meet. Jerry decides that he's done with that whole program, but it becomes harder b/c Kramer puts up pictures of everyone in the building and so he gets constant kisses hello. Jerry puts a stop to this also, and does so nicely, which obviously backfires on him to the nth degree. Kramer meanwhile goes out with Wendy, because he likes her hairdo, when the only reason Elaine introduced them was so that Kramer could tell her that her hairdo was horrible and then she'd be able to date. George misses his appt., and he got charged, so when Wendy and Elaine go skiing, he charges Wendy. After skiing, Wendy made Elaine walk home with her skies, nearly hitting NB, causing her to get injured and then goes to Wendy for treatment, who wants to charge her. The truth about her hairdo comes out, agreed upon by Carol Leifer, and then she changes it offscreen, which causes Kramer to dump her.

Our Commentary

Excellent OCB opens up this hilarious episode. We get a whole cast of characters in this ep, including Helen and Morty, Nana, and most importantly Uncle Leo. Hilarious stuff with George's Delicate Genie Us, Carole Leifer's clicking noise, a quick reflex move by Norman Brenner, Kramer saying that Wendy's hair style is great, when Elaine wants him to say that it's bad and should be changed, and then Kramer breaks up with her because she changes said hairstyle. All hilarious. The wall of pictures is simply brilliant, as is Morty figuring out how much the $50 would be worth today, Buddy testifying that this happened, and Kramer kissing Jerry while George enters and then exits. All stimply brilliant. Overall, just an excellently well crafted episode, that just barely misses the Top 50. Adam - Hilarious episode. Everything from Kramer kissing Jerry to Mary screaming at Jerry to just leave the building. All was hilarious in this episode.
