Episode 3: The Robbery

Episode #3; 1:3

Our Summary

Jerry goes to do a comedy bit and due to Kramer's stupidity leaves the door open. This leads to Jerry taking a new apartment, but due to a choose gone awry, Jerry feels guilty about taking it instead of George, who also wants said apartment. In the end, a waitress in Monk's gets it, obviously.

Our Commentary

We're getting better. Slowly, but surely. Jerry is near perfect with his sarcastic Jerry-baiting of Kramer about the doorlock. George a little bit off, but better. Elaine and Kramer still strange. Jerry's apt. is beautiful. The OCB was weak, last week. Jerry is gr8 as a General leading his troops into battle, while George and Elaine's Encounter of the First Kind was a bit odd, although 10 million times more normal than the one between Kramer and George. George's tradition of airport shuttle runs begins here as well. What the hell is Elaine wearing? She turns into a Hispanic maid whose last name is Benes and eats at Spanish restaurants. A subpar Kramer pop-in and then good interaction with the cop and Jerry's bit of the crook answering his messages. Once again George deserves a thorough beating from the Van B-Boys for his genie impersonation answer to how he got in to Jerry's place. The new apt. is cool, but more importantly we have a perfect proptype of LD humor at its best with his tipping bits. One word: HI-LARIOUS. I know Jerome loved when Jerry closed the closet in Elaine's face. Good stuff on Jerry's couch negotiating and duking it out for the apartment. A kooky Kramer and then onto Monk's for our first time, af al pi not a booth. George - good shtick; Jerry - silent. A premonition of No. 2, but no Ruthie Honey though. We end with the apt. given to the waitress. We assume that her hubby has some dough, although its possible she paid for the apt. b/c she works at Monk's, where Babu can get a place in Yerry's building. One of Jerry's best bits ends the show with "Calling for it".
