You Better Not Be Carrying On Laughing in That Courtroom,
Funny Man.

An obvious parody of Johnnie Cochran, Jackie Chiles is the rhyming, fast talking lawyer, who is proud to be one of the few multiseason peripheral characters. The only client of his that we know of, besides Connie and the Gang, is Kramer, who frequently provides him with many public humiliations, such as putting balm on his theigh, saying "I'll take it!" prematurely, listening to Stan the Caddy, and having a pow-wow. When Kramer does screw him over, Jackie wishes to know who, praytell, told him to do so, because Jackie did not.

KRAMER: Yeah, now is that going to be a problem?
JACKIE: Yeah that's going to be a problem. It's gonna be a problem for them.
- 7:3 The Maestro

The character Jackie Chiles was introduced in 7:3 The Maestro, perfectly portrayed by Phil Morris, who would go on to portray this character until the very last episode of Seinfeld.

While interviewing prospective clients, he will massage his ring and engage in a rapid back and forth with said client, detailing how ridiculous and absurd the matter at hand really is. His personal physician is one Doctor Bison. He also insists that his clients see the good Doctor, and that his secretary should make the appointment for said client, and tell Dr. Bison's secretary that the appointment was being made for Jackie. His deductive reasoning skills as well as his brilliant legal mind are shown off to us in such legal theories as playing the race card when it has nothing to do with the case, especially when none of the defendants are black, or advise the judge by referencing another case that either doesn't exist or also has nothing to do with the case, yet somehow he's won every case except 2.

Really, the only thing to know about Jackie is that he is quick with the ladies, by which I mean getting to do the Hz bop, which he's apparently so good at, that one could call him articulate.
